Deers. Butterflies. Peonies. Peach Blossoms. Would you believe me if I said there is a way for you to wear them on your eyes? Enter PAPERSELF, the London based brand leading a “paper revolution.”
In an effort to shine a new light on the ancient material, PAPERSELF explores ways in which paper can be used in both the ordinary and extraordinary in the name of “eco-conscious living.” Their most recent endeavor would fall into the latter category, bringing delicate paper designs to the eyelids. PAPERSELF has created a line of paper eyelashes showing the sexy, playful, and evocative sides of the material, “PAPERSELF looks to the future, seeking out new talent, transcending traditions, and promoting the perception of paper through new eyes.
The line of paper eyelashes draws inspiration from Chinese paper cutting. The designs are exquisitely crafted and all styles are inspired by a symbolic meaning that is rooted in Chinese culture: horses are symbols of success, peonies for happiness and good fortune, and peach blossoms symbolize love and romance. You can also choose from the additional designs called peacock, deer & butterfly, and clown. There are also two looks to choose from, lashes that run the entire length of the eye lid, or smaller versions that are only used in the corners of the eyes. ”
